Need help with having a pop-up on my shop before a visitor can see & select products.

Hi everyone!

Noob startup company here with no experience with working with developers.

We have just received good news from a potential partner that they are interested in becoming part of our production and distribution line in producing our freshly prepared fitmeals in their kitchens. Thing is, we already have one supplier that is producing a range of our products. This new supplier won’t be taking on ALL our products.

How the site works: customers pick their meals/meal packages from our woocommerce store, then once the order is paid for, we send the order to our supplier who fulfills the order then customers can pick up from the gym nearby.

HOWEVER, with the new supplier, there is a new pickup point with only SOME of our products.

I would like to include a pop-up on my website that asks the visitor where they intend on picking up from. From there, depending on their selection, they will be showed only the products that are categorized to that supplier.

I have an idea of how to categorize my products accordingly and I know I will have to purchase the “shipping per product” woocommerce extension, but I have yet to come across a solution that helps to filter our all products according to pickup point before the customer sees our products and has a chance to mess things up by ordering an item to be picked up from a supplier that doesn’t supply that product.

I am happy to learn how to do this myself, I just need to be pointed in the right direction.

As I mentioned above, we are a startup. We don’t have enough finances to pay a fully fledged developer for this yet, and we seem to be growing in interest faster than in income/profit.

Any suggestions that will lead me to a solution are welcome.

  1. Hear me out: Above the products or somewhere easily seen, mention products vary by location or something like that. Or use a pop up plugin with this notice.

Then, the user filters the products by location?

Although I can visualize doing exactly what you want with custom code if I was working on the site, I understand your limitations being a startup!
