I’m experiencing a redirection issue with my WordPress website, “domain2.com,” which is hosted on the same server and shares web hosting with “domain1.com.” The problem started recently, and now “domain2.com” redirects to “domain1.com/domain2.com/”.
Here’s what I’ve already checked:
* Verified DNS settings: DNS servers for both domains are correctly configured and point to the appropriate IP address.
* Reviewed Cloudflare and SSL: Checked Cloudflare settings, turned off the proxy, and ensured SSL is correctly configured for both domains.
* Checked .htaccess file: Modified the .htaccess file with a basic WordPress configuration.
* Verified plugins: Restored the plugins folder to its original state to rule out any plugin-related issues.
Despite these steps, the issue persists, and I’m unable to access the WordPress dashboard of “domain2.com” to investigate further.
If anyone has experienced a similar issue or has expertise in troubleshooting WordPress redirection issues, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Please let me know if there are any specific areas I should look into or any additional steps I can take to resolve the problem.
This started because domain1 had an expired certificate and domain2 was expiring too, the renewals were made by let’s encrypt with cloudflare.
If I turn off the temporary fix on the .htaccess the site is available con domain1.com/domain2.com those domains are within my shared hosted folder.
