I am creating a subscription-based service with monthly payments. I am working on the project using WordPress for the entire blog and ease of creation. I would like to ensure that when User A pays the €3 for the service, my site upgrades the user to premium (I have a special field for this in the database). Conversely, when User A has not renewed their payment, my site downgrades them to non-premium.
Do you have any plugins that can handle this automatically for free? Alternatively, could you direct me to a tutorial on how to achieve this? I’ve seen that they have webhooks, but I’m not quite sure how to integrate that in my case. When I search on Google instead of the documentation, all I find are clickbaity tutorials like “I integrated a STRIPE checkout page in 4 MINUTES,” but they only cover basic one-time payment setups, which doesn’t really fit my needs.
