Hello,
WPvivid is a backup and restore plugin designed to facilitate the restoration of your website to the state when the backup was generated. If the feature you requested is feasible, it could potentially allow someone to obtain your backup, establish a new admin account, and subsequently restore the backup to gain access to the website.
In your situation, after the restoration task is completed, you can utilize the phpMyAdmin tool to access the database and have the option to reset the password of the existing admin account within the wp-users tables. Following this, you will be able to access your site using the updated password.
Kind regards.
Hello,
Yes, that makes sense. Thanks for the advice and warning. I didn’t think about that.
I haven’t tried it but in the meantime, I found a possible solution to my problem here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-an-admin-user-in-wordpress-using-ftp/. What do you think about that?
Thanks in advance. Regards,
