Thanks for your message. We understand what you’re looking for, and setting up an Extra Fee with a daily cost for the second driver is quite a common configuration among our clients. This would require the Pro/commercial version of the plugin, which we believe that’s what you’re using already, because Options/Extra Services are not available in the free version.
However, the custom fields collected before saving the rental order cannot change depending on some extra fees requested by the customer during the booking process, I’m sorry. In these cases we simply suggest to create a new custom field of type “text” or “textarea” and name it something similar to “Additional driver details” so that customers could provide the information about the additional drivers before completing their rental order, and the information would be stored along with the other billing/contact details.
Creating an override for some pages of the booking process by adding such input fields dynamically would not help, because then the system would not be able to actually store this custom values. Any custom input value must be collected through the custom fields, and so you should always offer the possibility of specifying the additional drivers information during the check-out process.
