New To WordPress from GoDaddy

[ad_1]

Hi, I’m new to WordPress and I have a very small amount of knowledge in website making tools. My company made it’s first site using GoDaddy to purchase the domain, hosting the website and we used GoDaddy’s framework to build the website. Up to know it’s been satisfying. My issue is as follows:

\- I want this first website to move to WordPress from go daddy. What are my options?

\- I want to create a new website since my company is expanding and I have a new branch. I want to website to run WordPress. The domain name was bought over a year ago on GoDaddy’s website. Do I have to transfer the domain to another website to host WordPress?

I want both on the same hosting service and both running on WordPress. I other words, I want to migrate my existing website to a WordPress environment, create my new website with WordPress from the get go, but both domains are registered on GoDaddy as of now and are hosted on GoDaddy. I’m a bit lost as to how to migrate all of this, which service to use (Bluehost?) and will there be downtime for my existing website while it’s being transferred?

Thank you 🙂

  1. You need
    – a domain name (which you have from godaddy)

    – a hosting server(which you also have from godaddy)

    – site builder (wordpress or what you have from godaddy)

You could change the hosting provider as you like – godaddy , AWS, or bluehost- to host your site and you could setup WordPress on any one you choose.

Also, you could build a new site or migrate your old one.
