Hello all! Literally just joined this sub 7 seconds ago. I volunteer with a non-profit and organized their website, with hosting through KnownHost and I designed it though WordPress. I taught myself how to cobble together the website, treating it more like a 90s blog than anything. Tonight I got a frantic text from our Director that the website is down. All of my information is on my dashboard, but nothing is showing to the public. I’ve disabled all plugins, checked the status on IsItDown? and I’m literally at the end of my (very limited) skillset. If you can help, walk me through it like I’m in the 2nd grade. No, kindergarten. Site is operationveterancaregiver.org

Call your host, see if your plan has backups available. They can usually get your site back. Godaddy/wp engine/ blue host all have backups buoy in to their basic WordPress plans. That’s where I would start
Knownhost is a good host. Just open a ticket. (Looks like it’s back up as I send this)
Its visible again – lesson learned – Run DAILY backups!
