No photos will upload to media

No matter the size or file type of any picture I try to upload, I get the same error: “The server cannot process the image. This can happen if the server is busy or does not have enough resources to complete the task. Uploading a smaller image may help. Suggested maximum size is 2560 pixels.”

I have searched the internet, watched youtube video tutorials, and there has been no easy fix. Many of the solutions involve downloading a file manager, uploading photo there, then somehow getting it into WordPress. I’m not jumping through all those hoops for something that should work directly through the website. I also have not found a tutorial with exact step by step instructions and I am too much of a beginner to guess what needs to be done.

Can someone help with this?

  1. This sometimes happenz when it looks like your logged in but cache has messed up. Log out and log back in. If you have a cache plugin disable it as a test and try again.

  2. I’m not really an expert but the obvious question is how large is the image file? What are the dimensions in pixels and what is the file size in bytes?

Also how are you trying to upload it? I have personally had weird errors when I try to upload files into a post. So I never do that. I keep a second tab open with my media library. When I need to upload an image, I drop it into the media library tab. Then after 20-30 seconds I can include it in a post from the media library.
