Not getting emails from a Contact Form on WordPress

[ad_1]

Hi!
I'm not sure if this should be a Google/Server forum instead. We just got a new website designed using Elementor on WordPress. We're using the Gravity Forms Plugin for our contact us form.
We aren't receiving email notifications when the form is filled out to our company email. I tested and I can get notifications to my personal email, so the problem isn't on the form side. The emails are being blocked by our server somewhere, but I can't figure out why if they're being sent from WordPress.

Secondarily, I can't change the admin email on the account from the web developer's email because we don't get the email verification email to our company email addresses.

Please help or just send me to the right place to ask!

  1. Are your SPF records setup? A lot of the major SMTP servers won’t accept emails without them any more.

  2. you should check the email settings in your Gravity Forms, there are many helpful articles online on how to configure them correctly, just type the right keywords on your browser, and to change the admin email in WordPress, go to your hosting control panel, access phpMyAdmin, go to wp users list and update the email address there, you can also find detailed, step-by-step guides with visuals online

  3. You need to use an SMTP service to send out emails to make sure they are authenticated and don’t go to spam. Google recently got more aggressive in blocking mails that don’t have proper SPF and DKIM setup. I would recommend looking into Brevo, the free version let’s you send up to 300 mails a day and authenticate a domain to use with their service.
