Online course using WordPress – worth it?

[ad_1]

Hey guys, I’m looking at creating an online video course through WordPress.

There are plugins for WordPress (LearnDash and Tutor LMS have been recommended)
You can integrate WooCommerce into the mix and sell the courses that way.

My question – in your opinion is it worth

1. Kicking off with a full LMS (Learning management system) from the get-go?
2. Skip WordPress and go for an all in one solution like Teachable or Kajabi?
3. Wiser to run some of the content past a test group and invest from there?

Any comments or musings would be appreciated.

  1. I’ve never worked in Teachable but have done a few migrations from there to Learndash. Though the environment helped get them off the ground, you’re in a closed system so customizing functionality can’t be done the way it can in WordPress.
