Don’t upload on hosting
Use a third party video streaming provider
Trust me even after u delete those videos from the website
It will still make ur website bulky

it’s not related to wordpress, but ffmpeg (or handbrake, if you prefer a gui)
it’s normal for small videos to be that size, though. i upload youtube shorts for someone, and the minute long 1080p 30fps videos are 100-150mb when encoded with h264, and 50-80mb with h265 or vp9. youtube compresses them hard after upload so they become like 30mb.
Use handbreak to compress. I normally use 720 quality and optimize for web.
If it’s a background video, remove audio to make the file size smaller
