Order by date | WordPress.org

Hello

I want to sort the list of past events sorted by date from the most recent to the oldest.

I tried:
orderby=”event_start_date”
order=”DESC” or order=”ASC”
without success

I use actually the commande : [events_list scope=”past” category=”53″ order=”DESC”]
