Organic Discoverability for Federated WordPress Instances?

My self hosted WordPress installation is federated as an instance using the ActivityPub plug-in.

Fediverse does not use algorithms to suggest feed recommendations to follow.

Fediverse, instead relies upon an “organic algorithm” fueled by a creator’s use of hashtags.

Here’s my question:

If posts of a federated WordPress instance are not organically visible to anyone except current followers of the instance, then how does a WordPress installation gain an organic following in the fediverse?

Is it necessary to have a second fediverse account where you manually point people to the fediverse account you wish them to follow?
