Looking to see if there’s a solution to an issue we are having with a calendar on our website. We are currently using Google Calendars. We are using The Events Calendar plugin for this. The issue we have is that any change to description within Google Calendar causes a duplicate entry within our website calendar. Evidently this is a known issue. The Events Calendar also falls apart on the mobile version of our website, this might be a theme issue though.
I’d straight up just use the Google Calendar in the website except for 2 things. One, we want photos attached to the events, which Google Calendar doesn’t allow. The reason we want photos is we have a scroller on the website that scrolls across the upcoming events. So a photo shown above the event scrolling across is preferable.
The only other thing I can think of is Outlook Calendar allows photos in the description. So if there’s a way within WP to use Outlook Calendar and a scroller to use it’s photo and date I could just sync an Outlook Calendar to Google or visa versa. I thought I’d ask here first before I start taking a deep dark dive into this.
