First time using Oxygen and I was wondering why you have to upload the Oxygen zip file instead of just installing a plugin like you usually would. Is this better for security or something?
If a theme or plugin isn’t in the [Wordpress.org](https://Wordpress.org) repo, you need to upload the zip – which is how all premium themes/plugin work.
Usually all plugins that not are in the wordpress repo ( the app store of wordpress in simple words) are to download as zip and than install manually over the upload function, but after the activation of the plugins the updates are automatic if you have pay the license.
ps: in the wordpress repo it not exist premium plugin or themes but only open source, free, freemium or lite versions. For all pay to use plugins themes you must install over zip.
