Page freezes upon page load when apple pay is enabled

The logic for how plugin scripts are loaded is not browser dependent; the same scripts load regardless of the browser type.

Can you share a product page link so your site can be reviewed?

You can use the developer tools provided by edge to monitor what the slowest loading resources are on your site. That may give some clue as to what the issue is.

Thank you for the prompt reply. I just wanted to note that the whole browser freezes up as in the browser buttons(tabs, minimize, close) become briefly unresponsive. Here’s one of our product pages, but issue also persists on cart and checkout

I checked your page. There is an issue in loading here;

loading html dropdowns returns wrong data – Can’t load HTML blocks with AJAX 2 menuDropdownsAJAX.min.js:1:1311

already tested with all plugins disabled and even with theme set to default “twenty twentyfour”

Furthermore here’s a link to the same page above but on our staging site with the following conditions:

  • only 2 plugins enabled: ‘WooCommerce’ and ‘Payment Plugins for Stripe WooCommerce’
  • theme switched to default ‘twenty twentyfour'(our normal theme is ‘woodmart’)

I tested both your production site and the staging site using Microsoft Edge Version 124.0.2478.80 and I did not encounter any issues like what you described. The page loaded quickly and the browser buttons worked correctly.

What version of Edge are you testing with? Are there any special steps I need to take to try and re-create?

Hi, I’m also using Edge Version 124.0.2478.80. However I suspect that this is a hardware issue as I’ve just tested it on another desktop device and was not able to recreate it.

Besides that, I greatly appreciate your effort and time. We can mark this this as resolved,
