I took over the website job at my daughters preschool. I have some minor experience with web design using HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap etc. but I never actually used WordPress before. I need to create some posts for their blog. I go to new post, fill out all the necessary information and create the post. Then when I publish it I can see it posted and visible from my computer when I am logged into the site, only when I have that edit bar view on the top of my screen. But nobody else can see it from any device.
I did some googling and the common solution was to purge the cache. I did this and the same result. The site is not updating. I am starting some tutorials on the WordPress but these posts need to be up in 3 days and would appreciate a speedy solution.

For completeness, you purged a server-side cache, right? Not just your browser cache?
You might also want to look around the host’s dashboard to see if they have a separate cache going on.
You may need to clear the server cache; is your host, or any other plugin, taking a cache of the site that may need to be cleared? Also, are you getting the same results in an incognito window?
