Pages typically don’t appear automatically in the menu — unless you add them.
And how you add items to the navigation menu depends on the kind of theme you’re using. You didn’t mention your theme. Neither did you provide your site address.
Check to see if you have the dashboard item APPEARANCE => MENUS, and go there to create/update your site’s navigation menu(s).
If you don’t have APPEARANCE => MENUS, then you’re using a block theme, and your main site’s navigation menu will be a NAVIGATION BLOCK. You’ll need to find this Navigation block and add your pages to it. This will likely be a Template Part under APPEARANCE => EDITOR, but the exact location will depend on your theme.
By now I’m hoping you appreciate why we ask users to provide the address of the site they need help with when opening a support topic. If you need further help, please provide your WordPress site address!
Could the fact that they existed, deleted, and now re-added with the same name have anything to do with why they aren’t visible on the site menu?
Absolutely! When you delete a page that’s in a menu, that menu item is also removed. When you add a new page, it’s not normally added to the menu. You need to explicitly add it yourself. Exception: If you have the “Auto add pages” option checked in the menu editor (classic themes only), any new top level pages will be automatically added to the menu. I expect this is a rarely used option.
THANKS for the response. My site is https://www.jerrykranitzwriter.com/
It’s a block theme call Variations
When I view Pages I see the four pages I’m expecting (Home, About, Services, Contact)
When I go to Appearance > Editor > Pages, I see the same expect pages.
When I go to Appearance > Editor > Navigation, I see previous pages (Home, Articles, Contact)
But at jerrykranitzwriter.com, only Home displays, which is the only original of the pages I created and did not delete.
I figured it out! I needed to Edit on the Navigation page. Remove all the pages except Home and then Add > Page Link for the missing menu items. They are there now. THANKS!!
