Paying someone to maintain my website. How do I give them access without the admin password and without having to remove 2FA?

[ad_1]

As above, I’ve sourced the services of someone who I plan to pay to maintain my website, mainly plugin updates and fixing the odd issue which comes up.

Security is important to me and I don’t want to remove the 2FA I have set up or give up my admin password.

Is this possible?

  1. Here are two steps you can follow:

    1. Take a backup of your website, then create a new admin account and give them access. In case they do something to your website, you can easily restore the backup.

    2. Use the User Role Editor plugin to modify the capabilities of the newly created admin, specifying what they can and cannot do on your website.
