Hey all – I am in the VERY early stages of making an interactive pdf and I purchased a plugin that makes it function like a catalog in WP – page turn, etc. I do have external links and they work perfectly. Some content didn’t work, but I am in the process of replicating it in HTML.
The problem: I have a menu page with links to pages within the pdf. I did one set of links, making the text buttons and linking to bookmarks. Most of the links went to other pages, but not the pages I’d linked to. I then created page-specific hyperlinks, and entertainingly, these all linked to the same pages as the bookmarks and buttons had – which were not the correct pages. I could add a menu with the plugin’s inline HTML box, but because I am using this plugin I can’t use traditional pdf links. The plug-in has a feature that allows you to make a table of contents, but the links that this produces are not usable.
Am I asking too much? Is this just impossible, or am I just spending time with the wrong plug-in? As I said, it’s barely started – I wanted to get the functionality in before getting in to design, but you can see a really lame example here: [https://freestyletrailerco.com/?r3d=do-not-delete])
The menu is on page 4. The first link doesn’t work, the rest go to the wrong pages. And yes – this works in Acrobat lol – just not with the Plug-in.
Help would be grand!!!
