Hi, last night all of a sudden my site suddenly became unresponsive with lots of time outs. I restarted services and even the server, to no avail. I deactivated some plugins, to no avail. Then I installed the Query Monitor plugin, and it said there were many failed HTTP API requests from your plugin. I deactivated Perfect Images, and the site was working again.
Looking at the failed API calls on a page I monitored, these are 73 calls from Meow_WR2X_Core->get_retina_from_remote_url() were it tries to get retina images from my site, e.g.
but all 73 calls give a 404 not found. These are all slow and timing out after 30 secs.
I run the latest of WP, WOO, your plugin. Note: I use the Pro version. I also use Shortpixel Adaptive images. I did not change anything the past days, I also don’t remember any updates in your plugin or Shortpixel.
