Hi WP Devs / Users,
Was stopping by and hoping for a little help. Over the weekend I was looking at how best to set up permalinks and the general guidance seems to be keep it simple with %postname%.
However, when I do this… the ‘Posts’ I share on my website are all specifically under the ‘insights’ page, but don’t reflect that the ‘insights’ page is the parent. It’s just [mywebsite.com/%postname%]) rather than mywebsite.com/insights/%postname%
I have / can achieve the desired permalink effect by creating a custom permalink structure which is insights/%postname% is this the correct way to do it if all ‘Posts’ are under the Insights section of the website?
The other pages and page structures I have elsewhere… seem to naturally pick up the parent / child structure (but these are web-pages not ‘posts’) and this relationship has been set within pages. I don’t see this same function when making ‘posts’ and I’ve already defined ‘Insights’ as my Posts Page on the Pages menu within WP.

Any help / guidance would be much appreciated.
