  1. Do you have zero experience with web development in general or just WordPress? If you’re looking for a user-friendly, less technical way to edit a WordPress site you’ll want to start by looking into Elementor which is a very popular plugin for WordPress that ads a ton of intuitive editing options like drag and drop editing, widgets, etc.

Theres paid versions but the free version would have plenty of options available for making something like a blog.

  2. Just search “Personal Blog in wordpress” on YouTube and check the first 15 minutes of a few videos that’s over 1 hours in duration. Building the website alongside it. Also, make sure you use LocalWP software to build it first and once you are convinced then buy domain name and hosting.

  3. might want to just use the .com if you’re not a designer/developer or are trying to learn how to build a website

  4. Try this approach:

    1. Find a WordPress site you like as inspiration
    2. Recreate its key features on your own site
    3. Use online tutorials for step-by-step guidance
    4. Check YouTube videos for visual instructions

  5. Plus, I’d recommend learning some SEO basics to really make the most of it.
Use relevant keywords and tweak your posts for search engines. This will make your blog more visible.

  6. Find a free web hosting that supports wordpress, preferably with a free subdomain, just install it and play around, check all the menus, all the functions, and if you can’t figure it out, just search for videos or articles about that function or option in particular. I personally find it easier to learn by studying the mechanics behind something rather than repeating something I see in a video.
And like others said, find a site you like and try to replicate it. But don’t jump the horse to try to replicate sites like amazon or bilion pages and 100 years old site, start with some simple presentation sites with a few pages.

If you are looking for tutorials, try not to focus on tutorials that feature a certain theme, these are mostly meant to sell that theme and upsel some crappy plugins that are mandatory to reproduce the tutorial. Wishing you the very best!!
