That sounds like a scam call
Hello @koivunahka,
even though it does sound like a scam, PayPal is chasing their customers actively to change to our new plugin, instead of the older Checkout and Standard payment plugins.
I would advise you to reach out to PayPal Merchant Support and ask them to confirm this offer before you do anything. The account management is not performed by us (the plugin developer), so we can’t verify/deny this situation to be coming from PayPal or not.
Since this situation is not related to the plugin, I will mark it as resolved. I will, however, still receive a notification of any new comments that are placed, so don’t hesitate to do that or open a new thread if the issue is not related to this.
