Hey everyone,
I have been using WordPress for 10+ years, I don’t believe I’ve run into this issue before. To summarize my problem:
I draft my blog post, with text and photos, and everything in the editor looks great. When I go to publish, all the text appears, but the photos do not… Which is inconvenient for me because my business depends on displaying fresh image content!
No matter if I start a brand new blog post, I cannot seem to publish a blog with photos. They appear in the editor while drafting, but they do not display after publishing.
Is this a caching issue? In my GoDaddy page embedded in WordPress I clicked “Flush Cache”, and that has not changed anything. I have not installed any new plugins recently. In fact, I deleted unused plugins in an attempt to trouble shoot this. My theme is up to date, but it is not being supported any longer. I have WordPress 6.3. Is there a way for me to restore defaults up to a certain date? I discovered this issue while trying to publish a blog on August 31. Can I reset some settings to what they were in July 2023, the last time the blog displayed photos properly?
Another tidbit: the photos of my most recent blogs have also disappeared. Blog posts from a longer time ago seem to be ok. I can still publish images in a Page, just not on new blog posts.
Any suggestions for what I might have to do to fix this? My theme is Fiji 2 by Flothemes. Ultimately if I can’t fix this issue I will simply invest in a new Flothemes theme which would include tech support and probably better compatibility with the evolving WordPress landscape… But I figured I would ask about a quick fix before doing a complete theme update and overhaul.
Cheers everyone, much thanks in advance!!!
