We're using WP for our website and contact form. Starting to receive a ridiculous number of spam mails from what we can only assume is a bot (easily 100 a day) Almost all end in registry.godaddy.
Should we install a Captcha or a 'I'm human' checkbox? And is it easy to set up?
Any tips much appreciated.

What are you using to build your forms? Some of the forms plugins have anti-spam tools and also ways to reject certain emails (for example, you could trash any contact form that included registry.godaddy). It’s not that hard to set up – most of the tools have something in the plugin or individual form settings for you to configure anti-spam.
Also, are you using Akismet? That can also help w/ contact form spam if you’re using Jetpack forms.
Cleantalk plugin. Worth the money.
Cloudflare Turnstile and hCAPTCHA are probably the best options for free.
Cleantalk.org and oopspam.com if you want to pay a little bit they are with it
Almost all form builders have some sort of spam protection built in. If you don’t have one enabled, try adding Turnstile or reCAPTCHA to your form.
If you still get spammed, check out OOPSpam.
They are all easy to set up.
For WordPress contact form, install a CAPTCHA plugin like Google reCAPTCHA, is easy to set up and will help block bots
Setting up honeypot security on a form can also work wonders. Then a checkbox is added and then hidden for normal website viewers. Bots however will see the checkbox and check it. Then you know all that checked the checkbox are spam, ones that leave it blank are not. This in combination with Turnstile or Captcha will def reduce >99% of spam submission 🙂
hcaptcha works great and integrates seemlessly into many form builders. And it’s free to use
