Plug in failed to load properly

[ad_1]

Hi @mikey1526,

Thanks for reaching out. In order to resolve this can you try to uninstall Site Kit before then installing once more, from the WordPress plugin directory? There is no need to deactivate any modules or disconnect first.

If the same occurs after re-installing Site Kit please share your Site Health information and whether you made any changes to the plugin or performed any updates since this started to occur.

Thanks James,

WP wouldnt let me delete the plug in, so i deactivated it, then attempted to delete it and just got a failed to delete the plug in message. I then tried to re-activate it and get the fatal error message.

Warning: require_once(/home/waltonbu/yoursportsimage.com/wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit/third-party/ralouphie/getallheaders/src/getallheaders.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/waltonbu/yoursportsimage.com/wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit/includes/loader.php on line 53

I shared my site health info via the link you provided.

Many thanks for the update @mikey1526. If you’ve been unable to re-activate the plugin do you have access to your site via FTP or from your website control panel file manager? If so you can delete the Site Kit plugin manually, located at /wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit, from your websites root directory.

Let me know how you get on with the above. I also checked your Site Health information which you kindly shared and I didn’t spot anything unusual that may be resulting in this error. I suspect that something went wrong during a plugin update.

Thanks, removed it via the file manager and re-installed.

Working now

Issue resolved!

Thanks!

Excellent! Happy to hear it. If you run into any further unusual errors or notices be sure to reach out, you know where to find us.

If you’ve been a Site Kit user for some time consider also sharing your thoughts on the plugin in the form of a review. Best of luck.
