“possible” issue using subdomains | WordPress.org

[ad_1]

hello –

i originally installed wooCommerce on a development site with the domain name (dot)dev.
next i moved it over to our production server with a temporary SUBDOMAIN name: dev(dot)mydomain(dot)com.

and i included this is in my wp-config.php file:

define('WP_HOME','https://dev.mydomain.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://dev.mydomain.com');

but now i notice that woocommerce ignores the subdomain name. a good example is the message:

An important update is required for WooCommerce
An important security update for WooCommerce has been released. It is recommended that you update as quickly as possible.

when I hover over the “See available updates” button, I do not see the subdomain, only the primary domain.

i am not sure if this is an actual issue or problem, but thought i should ask anyway.

when i ultimately migrate the site from:
dev(dot)mydomain(dot)com
to:
mydomain(dot)com
the problem will most likely disappear.
