I’m looking for recommendations for a sort and filter plugin for WordPress to output a grid of posts with a select menu to refine the results by tag. The plugin needs to meet 3 criteria.
1. In the filter select it must only display the tags associated with the post type that is being shown in the grid, not all taxonomies from accross the site.
2. It must be possible to have 2 post grids each with their own filter on a single page.
3. It must have a “load more” button functionality to load more post into the SAME container without adding a wrapper around the next set of posts loading in, as the design calls for 3 columns on desktop and 2 on tablet, if a wrapping div is added this prevents the css grid property from properly stacking the posts.
Ideally it would be great if the plugin appended query string parameters to the URL for pagination when using the load more but not a deal breaker.
I have so far tried:
**• AJAX Load More by connekthq**
This allows multiple grids and filters, and has url params for the load more, BUT you cannot remove the container of the newly loaded set after each ‘load more’ press. And it displays ALL tags for the site, not just those associated with the post type for that grid.
**• FactWP**
This does limit the tags shown in the filter to the ones accociated to the post type of the grid, but you cannot have more than one grid on a single page. Well you can, but a second grid can only be static, i.e. no filter.
Any recommendations to meet the criteria greatly appreciated.
