Premium or Pro if I already know CSS??

[ad_1]

Hi guys, your insights would be much appreciated as I figure out what my best option is.

I don’t want to pay $300 annually for the Business plan as it’ll be my first time using WordPress. I think I’d like to start off with Premium and work my way up, but it seems like Premium is still pretty limited since it doesn’t come with plugins.

I feel quite confident in my CSS skills to fancy up a website. However, I’m unsure if Premium will limit me in any way from customizing my website completely?? Or should I go with Business for unlimited freedom?

Thank you in advance to all those who answered <3

  1. None of the above.

Purchase web hosting anywhere but [WordPress.com]). Install WordPress. Boom, unlimited freedom for a much smaller price.

  2. Download WP from wordpress.org and host it your self. Find a reputable hosting company, there’s plenty out there. You’ll get more flexibility with your own hosted WP website.

  3. You, like soooo many before you, are probably confusing wordpress.*ORG* and wordpress.*COM*. If you are fluent in CSS then you likely have the chops to handle a self-hosted WP installation. Lotsa information in this sub about the difference. Do more research before dropping that amount of money.

*edit to add:* any sites hosted on WP*.com* will **severely** handcuff your ability to customize your site (for example, no un-approved plugins). Stay far, far away.

  4. I always suggest to buy domain name and hosting which will cost you less then 50$ per year and build your website using the vast majority of free themes and plugins. I am available
