i have just started using wordpress some days ago and started my own blog, but i have problems regarding post,s featured images/thumbnails. the featured image i uploaded is not visible on the homepage of the blog (where all the posts are shown). i tried reuploading the featured image but its showing a dialog box which said something like “please check your rewriting setting before generating featured image”

i also tried adding the featured image from the posts tab from the admin page, but neither the featured image section is visible on the columns, nor the option of featured image is shown in the screen options dialog box
