Problem with action “get-attachment” | WordPress.org

Hello,

when I edit the theme layouts there are many post requests sent with this post data:
action=get-attachment&id=7

The Server takes about 3-4 seconds to process this request and returns lots of data about some image

The Problem is that these Post request start a php process on the server and cause lots of load and because so many of those requests are sent the webhost will limit our server resources.

Now my question is if this is a bug because the same requests (with attachment id 7 or false) seems to fire about 10 times when starting the theme editor.
