Hi!
Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!
When using dynamic content, like Shortcodes from other plugins, inside of TablePress tables, I do indeed recommend using that cache_table_output
Shortcode parameter, or the corresponding TablePress Extension. These will then turn off TablePress’ own caching mechanism, as this would otherwise interfere with the dynamic elements.
But no worries: Other caching features, from other plugins, like WP Rocket, are not affected by this! These can still fully cache the page which contains the table, of course — TablePress does not in any way influence that. (You might then have to clear the WP Rocket cache manually, if needed.)
And thanks for looking into upgrading to TablePress Max, I really appreciate it! And not, that version does not contain further caching features — but some other ones, like Server-side Processing that can highly improve performance, especially of large tables.
Best wishes,
Tobias

Don’t you want to include Tablepress Extension in new update of plugin maybe as a checkbox? I think it could be useful for many people and there would no need to install extra plugins.
Hi,
thanks for your suggestion! No, at this time, I don’t have plans to directly integrate the Extension. This is actually a rarely happening issue, and many people would be confused by the extra setting. I like to follow WordPress’ mantra “Decisions, not options” here. Also, the extra plugin is very lightweight, so having that additionally is no problem.
Best wishes,
Tobias
