Property Management / Owners Portal Options

[ad_1]

I am putting together a WordPress website proposal for an independent contractor to showcase his business. The showcasing his business part is easy, but he also wants to add some kind of portal system for his customers to log into in order to view the work/maintenance he has done on their homes and he wants to set up some kind of recurring billing system. I'm thinking it might be easier to recommend he use a cloud based property management service like tenantcloud.com for his owner portal system instead of having me create one within his WordPress website. However, if I were to create one integrated into his WordPress website, I was wondering what plugins could be used to achieve this? I assume I will need something like WooCommerce for the recurring billing aspect and a Membership plugin for the owners portal, and then some kind of other plugin for work order/maintenance requests. All of these plugins would somehow have to seamlessly work together to make it easy for him to manage. Any thoughts or feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Ya totally possible to build this out with a matrix of WordPress plugins, but it’s probably going to be kind of a mess unless you really know what you’re doing. And it probably won’t be much cheaper than going with one of the 3rd party solutions when you start adding up all the Woocommerce premium plugins that you’ll surely need.

Even if you did manage to pull it off, highly unlikely you are going to provide a product that can match a 3rd party service, assuming tenantcloud or others out there are halfway decent.
