About translations: no, I can not clone it from WordPress. The WordPress translation project will provide translations independently from plugins: when one installs a plugin and there is a more recent translation available, then this will be offered as a seperate update afterwards.
If you want to get translations included as part of the plugin I need to ask you to create a pull request on Github with the translation files.
