Hi @editorialteam – yes, absolutely!
In the block settings panel, first you’ll need to toggle off “Inherit query from template.”
In the Filters section, select Taxonomies to display that section of options.
Under Categories, enter your category name(s). (This feature uses auto-complete so your existing categories will show up when you start to type them.)
Your Query Loop block should now display posts in the category(ies) you’ve selected. More about Query Loop block settings.
Hi Kathryn P.
Thank you so much. This seems to work well. I’m creating a new WordPress website design on a staging site using the Twenty Twenty Three theme. My live site is using Twenty Nineteen. All the posts and pages have to be replicated on both sites until I go live with the new design. Do you know if I can do the same as above on the Twenty Nineteen site – query loop, toggle off Inherit query…, Filters etc?
Many thanks,
Mark
@editorialteam Yes, you can use the Query Loop in Twenty Nineteen on pages and it’ll work the same way.
Twenty Nineteen doesn’t support the Site Editor, so you can’t use templates, but you mentioned creating a page earlier, so it should work just fine.
