Question about auto plugin updates for plugins that add functionaility to other plugins

[ad_1]

If a plugin adds functionaility to another plugin, will it auto-update to the latest version available for itself, or to the version compaitble with the plugin it adds functionaility to?

My question refers to elementor but I’m assuming it is relevant for any stack of plugins that all work in partnership with eachother.

I tend to turn off auto-updates for elementor and elementor pro because they crash websites way too often. But sometimes the option to disable auto-updates for elementor pro is not visible, and so it is left on enabled, even if elementor is disabled.

If elementor auto-updates are disabled, will elementor pro keep updating to its latest version if left to auto-update? Or will it only auto-update to the version that is supported by the parent plugin?

Thank you!

  1. Each plugin will update to the latest version available for it, independent of any other plugins.
