Question about creating website without publishing

[ad_1]

Hi, I’m new to WordPress (org)

I have a domain, webhost, wordpress site etc. to play around with. But everytime I change something I have to publish. Is there a way where I can build my wordpress site but not publish it to everybody and after it’s done publish it as a whole?

  1. You can build a WordPress website on your local computer without using online hosting. You shouldn’t be developing online because it’s very slow and cumbersome.

Then use “updraft plus backup and restore” plugin to move your website to your online hosting (I recommend setting up the Google Drive for backups).

You can also install a plugin like WP Maintenance Mode, which will hide the website under maintenance mode for the public, while you as a logged-in user can see the full website.
