You can save a lot of money by doing security yourself. It’s easier than you think, just choose strong passwords and keep your components (plugins/themes) up to date. This will cover 90% of an average user’s security needs (WordPress and beyond) and stop you or your sites from being hacked in the first place.
Sitelock is sending you an email with statistics so they have some metric to show you value of their service. It sounds like the real value was in the initial malware cleanup the year prior, but it’s unclear if those blocked bot traffic prevented a compromise or was just a metric they track. It is ultimately up to you to decide if what sitelock was doing since was valuable.
