Question for debs who create custom themes with react-based blocks

[ad_1]

When working on a client website with custom blocks, how often do you utilize the built in WordPress styling options like typography, colors or spacing. I find these options are meant more for building your own frequently used public themes. I struggle with the fact that you cannot control where exactly these settings are applied to. I thought the new Selectors API was the fix for this but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Also the fact that you cannot have per block spacing scale is super annoying.

I’ve been having more luck with creating my own settings using the provided components package with dedicated options to the block but wondering if I’m missing out on utilizing the built in style attributes.

The one thing I miss is being able to isolate these settings in the new Styles tab in the sidebar. I wish I were able to create my own tab.
