Question for seasoned WordPress operators or devs

[ad_1]

My question is for those that build many sites for many businesses, how often do people run into plugin conflicts in WordPress where the plugin does not work with another plugin or plugin theme conflict ? Because I don’t do this for a full time living but I have built about 30 sites over the last couple of years and I always run into plugins that don’t work with other plugins. WooCommerce is a prime example, I mean you try and build a site using different components but those components never work together, you really have to do your homework and dig through the WordPress repository for mention of conflicts if they mention it at all that is.

  1. We’ve run into a few things here and there, but it’s mainly between some larger architectural plugins (S3, elasticsearch, etc) and other plugins that rely on the file system or directly edit the db.

    Zero.

Use good quality plugins (large user base, actively maintained)

  3. With quality plugins from respected developers and a medium-large user base. Only once, and in a “niche” issue. Between Divi and a LearnDash 3rd party plugin.
