Recent updates seem to be causing pages to not refresh after edits

[ad_1]

Recently it's been very frustrating working on one of my sites because edits are not refreshing right away. I know this is likely a caching issue, but I can't figure out what's causing it. I haven't changed my desktop/browser configuration.

If I make a change and try to view it right away I have to do a forced refresh (CTRL+F5). When I do this, some of the style elements don't initially load.

I'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on what's causing this and how I fix it.

My site is on WordPress 6.6.2, Elementor Pro 3.24.4 , and Astra Pro 4.8.1. Plus my other plugins are all up to date.

  1. It’s a requirement to press CTRL+f5 after updating a page, due to the way browsers work (specifically, browser caching / client-side caching – which is different to server-side caching).

“some styling element don’t initially load” – can you be more specific?
