The plugin that you’re using must propagate its results throughout the WordPress REST API that is used for live searching. Most likely they only affect the main /?s= query, but not the REST API. We use the standard API for the live search, with nothing special from our side, so that API must be modified before it hits our search feature.
This must be taken up with them to see if they offer such a feature.
