I have a website with roughly 5,000 images spread across a handful of pages and 200+ posts. In an effort to reduce my server size, I’m in the process of doing some cleanup and testing in staging.
I have removed all thumbnails from my site with the intention of utilizing ShortPixels Adaptive Images to serve the files in the appropriate size on the fly (assuming it works well). I plan to stop WP from creating any additional thumbnails as I resize and optimize my images before uploading.
The issue I now have is that most of the images linked in my posts are linked directly to the thumbnail sizes: snorkeling-914×726.jpg. However, I want to update this to now link to just snorkeling.jpg
I’m hoping there is a way to do this in bulk vs going through each post and relinking the images.
Any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated!
