Request review in AdSense shows error

Hi @yateendra88,

Thanks for reaching out. You’re encountering the “Some went wrong” message within the AdSense platform where you check for a manual AdSense snippet placement. If you’re using Site Kit to insert your AdSense snippet you don’t need to insert a manual snippet, you just need to allow Site Kit to insert the snippet for you (Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > AdSense > Edit). After doing so, you therefore don’t need to perform this check.

You’ll notice also that on the screen where you encounter this message, there is a notice to check that Site Kit has inserted the snippet for you. I’ve checked your site and I don’t see any Site Kit placed AdSense snippet. Can you allow Site Kit to insert the snippet for you, and I can then check your site once more? You can also share your Site Health information if you’d like me to check your AdSense status.

I am using Advanced Ads plugin to insert AdSense code. Do I still need to use Site Kit ?

You can use Advanced Ads alongside Site Kit if you wish, Advanced Ads on it’s own or Site Kit on it’s own. It depends on your own use case and preferences. If you want to displays ads on your site, Site Kit or Advanced can be used if you don’t want to manually insert ad code (which it sounds like you were doing).

I also checked your site and I don’t see any standard AdSense code placed. If you’re looking to allow Site Kit to insert ad code for you, let me know if you need assistance. I’m happy to check your site afterwards if so.

Yes, I am looking to use Advanced Ads only. I see the AdSense code is available in all the pages between <head></head> as asked by the Google. I would like to use Advanced Ads only because I am using the same in my other websites and it is all working fine from past few years.

I have only placed the code which AdSense asked me to so that they can review for approval. That code is in the form of <script></script>.

Thanks for the update @yateendra88. If you’re looking to only use Advanced Ads then that’s no problem. We only provide support for Site Kit here in the Site Kit forums, but you can reach out for assistance over at the Advanced Ads forums.

I understand. You can place this within an Advanced Ads container I believe, but you may need to set the conditions for display, I can’t be sure.

If you’re still encountering a “something went wrong” error when checking for a manually placed snippet the product experts over at the AdSense Help Center may be able to assist. As far as I know this occurs when the AdSense platform can’t reach your site or determine a snippet. This could be due to an Ad Blocker or browser extension, a modification of the standard AdSense snippet or a cookie or third party plugin such as a privacy or consent plugin.
