Resetting your WP site

[ad_1]

Hello, I have been tasked to edit and renovate the website at my work, but they don’t know the main server ftp or where can I access the main files to edit permissions and what not in order for me to proceed editing the website.

Will resetting the website via plugin or some form of sort, be likely to fix the permissions issues when updating wordpress to latest version and updating plugins?

  1. “resetting WordPress” means deleting everything and starting over. It has nothing to do with permissions, and isn’t what you want to do.

If no-one know any logins to the WP admin, then you are going to need server access, so that you can get into the control panel and access the database or FTP. If you don’t know those details either, then call the hosting company.
