I have a client who wants to run a newsletter from a WP blog. The idea is write a series of posts, then “close” an “edition” that will be grouped into a single page and set that as the body of the email.
That’s the big picture. The main aim is to populate the blog with the newsletter contents and maybe get some web traffic that way. The posts can be scheduled to appear at the email send date, the edition can be identified by a category/tag, anything can be modified if it makes it easier to work.
Emails will be managed by a specialized provider such as mailchimp, etc. Does anyone know of a plugin/workflow to achieve some or all of this?
Some time ago Dave Pell of NextDraft [shared a workflow]) he uses to build his daily emails and [send through MailChimp]), but I’d guess there’s a more automated way to do that by now.
