Safari privacy settings for WordPress developers

[ad_1]

Do the privacy settings in Safari (“prevent cross-site tracking” and “hide IP address from trackers”) or in MacOS settings generally (network settings’ “Limit IP address tracking”) break functionality on your website in Safari or other browsers?

Is it recommended that WordPress developers turn these off, or test their site with them both on and off to see how it’s affected? or only turn off some of them? What’s your experience? I asked AI for the expert opinion and probably didn’t prompt it correctly because it couldn’t help me.

Thanks so much redditors you’re the best or my Zoloft is finally kicking in.

  1. No they don’t break sites, assuming your site isn’t doing anything dodgy, like tracking.
