To be straightforward, I know very little about wordpress and tech in general. I am hosted through wordpress.org.
I hired a person on Fiverr to do SSL cert, Google Search Console and SEO stuff. I invited him as an admin. He claims to do the SSL cert, he needs access to the dashboard/login credentials.
Is this normal? Does he actually need this level of access?
He said this:”
Hi there,
Since it is required to have access to the server level to install an SSL certificate on your site, I need to have access to your website dashboard and hosting panel access.”
I’m hesitant because through the dashboard, you can also see personal info like name and last 4 digits of the cc used to purchase the hosting plans.

Yes, it’s normal – they’ll need access to both your WP dashboard, and your hosting control panel.
