I have entered a new line for my SEO title in the Yoast SEO tab at the bottom of the front page.
I can find no way to save the new setting. Saving the page does nothing – of course I suppose.
If I close the editor page and reopen the changes are not saved.
(How can something this basic not be obvious and intuitive?!)
If I click Insert Variable and chose Site Title it just gives me a second oblong maroon button. There is no way to save!
I google “set seo title yoast” and found a page that walks through the process. But it has a button ‘Edit snippet’ to start with, and you are supposed to click the ‘Close snippet editor’ button when you are done. But there is no Edit snippet button and no Close snippet editor button.
